New Stop Sign
June 16, 2007
Not only is this additional sign larger it is accompanied by a warning sign about 30 yards before you get there.
On top of that it is larger. Most importantly both the warning sign and the actual stop sign have solar powered flashing LEDs so that even in the middle of the night on a rainy January night a cyclist should be able to see this sign. Of course one just has to wait a couple of moments to see a car stop where they have no sign and a biker run the stop. This crossing is on the busiest part of the Burke-Gilman trail, (opens new) Seattle's most used trail. It should be only a matter of time until a stupid cyclist is killed.
